The UNIMA Congress, organized by UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionnette), a UNESCO-affiliated
International Puppetry Association, is held every four years, rotating across continents. It serves as a global puppetry
festival and an international cultural event, bringing together over 100 member countries of UNIMA.
In 2025, the UNIMA Congress, where lovers of puppetry come together every four years to celebrate creativity and
imagination, will take place in Chuncheon, home to Asia’s largest puppet festival—the Chuncheon Puppet Festival.
Don’t miss this grand gathering of puppetry enthusiasts from all over the world!
*The Chuncheon Puppet Festival, typically held in September, will instead be held in May 2025 under the name “Chuncheon World Puppet Festival” alongside the UNIMA Congress. There will be no separate festival in September.
